Frequently asked questions about blood tests

Can I get a blood test without a referral?

Yes. At Bloodworks you do not need a referral from your GP. You order the test you want online, give blood at a collection point near you and receive your results with a personal explanation from a doctor.

Which blood values can I have tested?

Almost all common blood values: from iron, vitamins and thyroid to cholesterol, blood sugar, hormones and liver and kidney values. You choose a single marker, a ready-made panel or compose your own test.

What does a blood test cost?

That depends on what you test. Single markers are available for small amounts, complete panels bundle dozens of values at a package discount. The price is always shown upfront, including the blood draw fee.

How quickly will I get my results?

Usually within 2 working days. You receive a clear report with a personal interpretation from a doctor for each value, which you can also share with your GP.

Not sure which blood test you need?

Use our guided tool: answer a few short questions about your situation and see immediately which test or panel fits. Free and without an account.
