Medical team
The doctors behind your report
Every Bloodworks report is personally reviewed by a BIG-registered doctor. Our team has broad experience in general practice, bariatric, internal and laboratory medicine. The same doctors safeguard the medical accuracy of everything you read on this website.
What the medical team does
Review of every report
A doctor looks at your results in context: age, sex, symptoms and medication from your intake. You receive a personal explanation, not automated red flags.
Quality control
Before a report is sent it passes a second check. Abnormal values that need attention are called out explicitly, including advice on next steps.
Medical editing
The information on this website, from product pages to blog articles, is reviewed by the medical team according to our editorial policy.
Certified laboratories
Your blood is analysed by certified Dutch laboratories. Our doctors translate the results into a clear explanation that you can also share with your GP.
Also see our editorial policy (Dutch): how medical information on this site is created and maintained.
Good to know
Bloodworks does not replace your GP. For acute symptoms, always contact your GP or, in an emergency, call 112. Our reports are designed to give insight and can easily be shared with your own doctor.
