Cancellations, changes and refunds

We think it is important that you know exactly where you stand before you place your order. On this page we explain when you can change or cancel your order and when you are entitled to a refund.

By placing your order, you request Bloodworks to begin providing the service immediately. As a result, your right of withdrawal may lapse in whole or in part once the blood draw has taken place. Below you can read what this means for you.

Changing your order

Administrative changes, such as your personal details or collection point, are free of charge as long as your request can still be adjusted.

A substantive extension or additional blood test is usually possible, but may lead to additional costs. We will inform you in advance of any additional payment.

Would you like to change something? Please contact us at support@bloodworks.nl with your reference or order number and we will see what is still possible.

Cancelling and refunds

If you cancel within 24 hours of your order and the laboratory request form has not yet been processed or sent, you receive a full refund of the purchase amount.

If you cancel after that, but before the blood draw, work has already been carried out, such as the medical review and processing of your request. In that case we charge €25 in administration and processing costs. The remaining amount is refunded via the original payment method.

After the blood draw, or after the statutory cooling-off period has expired, a refund is in principle no longer possible.

Would you like to cancel your order? Please contact us at support@bloodworks.nl and include your order or reference number.

Bloodworks or the laboratory cannot deliver

If Bloodworks or the laboratory cannot provide the ordered service and cannot offer a suitable alternative, you will receive a full refund of the purchase amount. You may also choose a free new request or an equivalent alternative.

This does not apply where provision becomes impossible due to your own act or omission, such as not attending an appointment, providing incorrect details, letting the form expire or not following the laboratory’s instructions.

Exceptional circumstances

In exceptional situations, Bloodworks may apply discretion (coulance) at its own assessment. No rights for future cases can be derived from earlier discretionary decisions. Discretion is therefore not an automatic right.
